Pre Primary Wing (Nursery to Grade 1)

In the Pre-Primary section, teachers regularly watch and observe children to understand how they are growing. They check different areas like physical movement, social behavior, emotions, and thinking ability. This overall development is called PANCHA KOSHA VIKAS. Children also do thematic worksheets and activities to help with their cognitive (thinking) growth.

Teachers write down their observations throughout the year and collect them in a Home Progress Card (HPC), which is shared with parents at regular intervals (term-wise). This helps parents know how their child is doing and where improvement is needed.

A Montessori Lab is available in school to help children improve their language, math, fine motor, and science skills.

For Grade 1:

  • Periodic Assessments (before Term 1 & 2) have 20-mark thematic worksheets in subjects like EVS, GK, Maths, Hindi, and English.
  • Term Assessments carry 30 marks in the same subjects.
  • Students are not judged only by a 3-hour exam — their performance throughout the year is also taken into account.

Middle Wing (Classes 6 to 8)

Regular tests and exams are an important part of learning in the Middle Wing. They help teachers check if students are understanding lessons, thinking deeply, and applying what they learn in class.

During the year:

  • There are 3 Periodic Assessments of 20 marks each (converted to 10 marks)
  • 2 Term Exams of 80 marks each
  • 5 marks for Subject Enrichment Activities
  • 5 marks for Projects or other assignments

Senior Secondary Wing

(Grade 9 & 11)

Students in Grade 9 and 11 have:

  • 2 to 3 Periodic Tests (20 marks each, counted as 10)
  • 5 marks for Projects
  • 5 marks for Subject Enrichment
  • 2 Term Exams of 80 marks each

All assessments follow CBSE guidelines.

(Grade 10 & 12)

Students in Grade 10 and 12 have:

  • 1 to 2 Periodic Tests
  • 1 Term Exam
  • 2 Pre-Board Exams (to prepare for Board Exams)

Internal marks of 10, 20, or 30 (depending on the subject) are awarded for project work, written tests, and subject enrichment activities. All assessment methods follow CBSE guidelines.

Note: There is no re-test policy if a student misses an exam. The only exception is if the student was unwell — in that case, they must submit an application along with a medical certificate from a doctor to be considered for a re-assessment.
